Facebook Application Review of Pink Ribbon

Are you concerned???, in FACEBOOK everyone is tested

DISCLAIMER: After I made this Facebook Review I realized that there are 2 Applications in Facebook under this name, one developed by Freecause.com and the other one by PINK RIBBON. The review made here is about the second one, that apparently is a copy of the first one, but that I knew after I made the review.


The Facebook Review of today is about the Facebook Application called Pink Ribbon RIBBON(the one that represents the battle against breast Cancer). When I installed this application I found myself in front of something that seemed to be interesting and useful and I said to myself smiling alone in front of my Facebook blog window... Wow some differences can be made after all even in this social networking universe!!!.

So I followed the steps after reading the statement on their main window while you are installing the application that says:

"1 in 8 women will get breast cancer. Most people still don't know. You can help. Together, we can make a difference."

And I was happy and motivated to send the invitation of this application to all my Facebook Friends thinking that we could do something. But then... I found myself in a big window where all the top was crowded with advertising to install other applications (with no relation at all with Breast Cancer) and at the end almost without being presented as the main task of the application, there is a text box where you can write whatever you want below your pink ribbon that will show up in my profile....

Now I wonder to myself, and maybe somebody can give me a certain answer... How am I helping by using this application.... if

• The application is not EVEN explaining to me how to prevent or detect Breast Cancer before it's to late.
• Is not providing me any kind of information related with Breast Cancer.
• Is not making found raising to give money to some hospitals, researchers, etc

I felt to be honest betrayed with this Application that asked for my collaboration and concern, and showed no concern at all about the topic in discussion. This Facebook Application let me down, as well as many of the other Facebook users that installed it and made Reviews on their main page.

The qualification of this Facebook Review is 1 out of 5. Facebook users shouldn't expose to this type of applications.
