Facebook Application Review of Group Talk by Rebtel

With Facebook you can talk with everybody at the same time!!!

Today's Facebook Review is about a total different type of application that the ones we've been doing in the lasts posts of this blog. The application to be reviewed is called Group Talk and it was developed by Rebtel one of the biggest VoiceIp providers in the Internet.

Basically this new Facebook application lets users set up a free conference calls than can include all type of users included Facebook and non- Facebook in 40 countries all around the world

Once we have installed the application the first thing we have to do is to write down our phone number so as to set up our account, and from there on this simple application works pretty much as all the websites that provide VoIP (Voice Ip service- Phone calls through the internet) with some interesting features to be considerate that really interact with the Facebook environment.

This system work as this picture explains. Smooth and simple, you just have to add the person you want to call with all the details such as country+city code+phone number and you will receive according to your choice either an email or SMS with a local phone number. From there on the only thing that you have to do is call that local number that will link your Call with your friends in the other side of the globe.

Simply and fast. Another good thing about this application is that once you received that local phone number you can save it in your contacts list to use it whenever you want to hear the news from abroad.

Now moving to the interaction of this application with the Facebook platform we can see how the Group Talk call feature can be done very fast and easily. The person who sets up the call enters their Facebook friends’ names, and walla!!!... can then make the call private – just for the people invited – or public, which makes the call open to any of their friends who want to join.

Also you have the option to include people who are not Facebook users. To do this the person setting up the call has to enter participants’ names, phone numbers (either mobile or landline) and their email addresses. Finishing with a really useful tool that lets the first person who joins a conference call, to call all of the other invited participants to let them know the Group Talk session is starting. Like an invitation call!!

So in conclusion, for people like me living abroad with so many friends to call and so many hours spend in websites providing services like this application does, group talk is a really interesting application that let's me stay checking all my stuffs in my facebook plus get conected for free in some cases, or at really cheap rates with a great quality of sound. Last New Year's eve I made around 10 international calls, next year I might only need to schedule one, and enjoy the company of my fellows leaving far away from me.!!!

My qualification is 4 out of 5 works nice, and smooth, and goes in the direction that all Facebook applications should go... include services that we use to look outside in different website, inside!!.
